Jugurtha Boumali

Osteopathic practitioner DO (FR), founder of Urgent-Osteo

Combining Health, Movement, and Balance

Originally from France, Jugurtha Boumali is a passionate osteopath now based in Montreal. A former high-level athlete and sports coach, he brings his deep understanding of the body in motion to his practice, offering a comprehensive, gentle, and effective approach to care.

Guided by the belief that movement is at the heart of health, Jugurtha helps each patient regain mobility, balance, and long-term well-being.

Graduated from the École d’Ostéopathie de Paris, Jugurtha received a complete five-year education covering all aspects of osteopathic medicine: structural, visceral, cranial, and tissue techniques.

Before settling in Canada, he co-founded Urgence-Ostéopathes in the Paris region — a clinic specialized in the treatment of acute and urgent osteopathic conditions. This experience allowed him to refine his diagnostic skills and to develop calm precision, even in complex or emergency situations.

Now practicing in Montreal at the URGENT-OSTEO clinic, Jugurtha welcomes patients of all ages — from newborns to athletes — offering individualized, attentive, and effective care. He is also a member of the Quebec Association of Osteopaths (AQO), a professional organization that upholds the highest standards of osteopathic practice in Quebec. His membership ensures that his care is safe, ethical, and evidence-based.

A Gentle and Adaptive Approach

Every patient is unique. Jugurtha tailors each treatment to the person’s body, history, and specific needs. His approach is founded on three key principles:

  • Efficiency – achieving meaningful and lasting results;
  • Gentleness – respecting the body’s rhythm and physiology;
  • Adaptability – adjusting techniques to suit each situation.

During each session, he combines structural, visceral, and cranial techniques to restore balance, improve mobility, and enhance the body’s natural self-healing abilities.

Areas of Expertise

Sports Osteopathy

As a former athlete and coach, Jugurtha understands the demands placed on the body by training and competition. He helps athletes of all levels to:

  • Prevent injuries;
  • Improve performance;
  • Support muscle recovery and flexibility.

Discogenic Pain and Spinal Conditions

Specialized in the management of discogenic pain and discopathies, he treats:

  • Low back pain, sciatica, and neck pain;
  • Herniated discs and related nerve compressions;
  • Postural imbalances and chronic mechanical stress.

His approach aims to reduce pain, release deep tension, and restore optimal spinal function.

Postpartum Osteopathy

Trained in postpartum rehabilitation, Jugurtha assists women after childbirth to regain comfort, stability, and mobility. He provides support for:

  • Pelvic and lumbar pain;
  • Muscular recovery after delivery;
  • Postural realignment and breathing patterns.

Pediatric Osteopathy – Gentle Care for Newborns

Jugurtha is also trained in pediatric osteopathy, offering gentle, precise treatments for newborns and infants. He helps relieve common conditions such as:

  • Infant colic;
  • Congenital torticollis;
  • Plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome).

His delicate, non-invasive touch aims to restore comfort, ease movement, and support the baby’s healthy development after birth.

Movement as a Philosophy

For Jugurtha Boumali, osteopathy is more than a therapy — it is a philosophy of movement. He believes that when the body regains its freedom, health follows naturally.

Inspired by his background as an athlete, he approaches each session with precision, attentiveness, and respect. His goal is to help patients rediscover fluid movement, inner balance, and lasting vitality.

A Practice Built on Listening and Trust

Each consultation is a genuine exchange. Jugurtha takes the time to listen carefully, to understand the source of discomfort, and to explain his approach clearly. His practice is grounded in empathy, transparency, and patient education.

At the end of a session, he often shares personalized advice — simple exercises, posture corrections, or lifestyle tips — to help patients extend the benefits of their treatment and take an active role in their recovery.

Who Can Benefit from Osteopathic Care?

  • Newborns: colic, torticollis, plagiocephaly, or discomfort after birth;
  • Pregnant and postpartum women: pelvic or back pain, recovery support;
  • Athletes: performance optimization, prevention, and recovery;
  • Adults: chronic pain, stiffness, stress, or digestive issues;
  • Seniors: mobility maintenance and improved comfort in daily life.

A Vision of Health and Harmony

Through his experience and holistic philosophy, Jugurtha Boumali aims to help everyone reconnect with their body, move freely, and achieve balance between strength and relaxation. For him, being an osteopath means guiding the body back to its natural state of balance, empowering patients to understand themselves, and supporting long-term health through movement and mindfulness.

Neal

Neal

Osteopathic practitioner DO (FR)

Are you looking for a natural and holistic way to manage pain, improve your well-being, and support your body’s own healing abilities? Osteopathy offers a gentle, hands-on approach that addresses the root causes of discomfort—without medication or invasive procedures. In the heart of Vancouver, you’ll find Neal, an Osteopathic practitioner who combines a deep understanding of the human body with real-world experience in both sports performance and emergency care, to offer truly personalized and effective osteopathic treatment. The journey toward becoming an osteopath in France began with a strong academic foundation in sports sciences, gained through university-level studies in physical training and performance. This background provided detailed knowledge of how the body moves, heals, and adapts—particularly under physical stress. Learning about biomechanics, muscle function, joint mobility, and physical conditioning built a solid base for a clinical approach rooted in movement and prevention. But what truly shaped Neal’s approach was not just the theory—it was practice. Several years of experience in first aid and emergency response, working in both fire stations and aquatic environments, added another layer of expertise. In these settings, he learned how to evaluate physical conditions quickly and accurately, how to stay calm and precise under pressure, and how to truly listen to the body in urgent situations. These skills are now central to his osteopathic work, allowing for careful observation, safe handling, and a deeply respectful approach to each patient’s individual needs. As a former high-level athlete, Neal also brings the discipline, focus, and body awareness that only sport can teach. He practiced badminton at a national level, training intensively in several countries, including across Asia. This international experience exposed him to a wide range of movement philosophies and physical techniques—deepening his respect for the body’s complexity and capacity. Sports not only shaped his understanding of physical performance and injury, but also inspired his constant search for balance, efficiency, and long-term health. Osteopathy became the natural next step. More than a method, it was a philosophy: a way of seeing the body as an intelligent, self-regulating system, capable of healing when given the right conditions. Unlike other approaches that often treat symptoms in isolation, Neal’s osteopathy practice considers the body as a whole—its structure, function, and internal connections. The goal is not only to relieve pain, but to help the body restore its natural harmony. This holistic approach is especially powerful because it is both gentle and profound. It works not only for musculoskeletal issues like back pain, joint stiffness, or sports injuries, but also for functional disorders that are often overlooked: digestive discomfort, sleep disturbances, headaches, stress-related tension, and fatigue. Osteopathy listens to what the body is expressing—sometimes through pain, sometimes through subtle imbalance—and responds with tailored, hands-on techniques that aim to restore mobility, circulation, and overall vitality. What makes Neal stand out is his dedication to continuous learning. Osteopathy is not a fixed protocol—it’s a living discipline that evolves with science, clinical experience, and patient feedback. Each treatment is adjusted based on what the patient brings that day: their posture, their energy, their stress, their story. This requires constant reflection, humility, and curiosity. It also requires a deep respect for anatomy, physiology, and the delicate balance between structure and function. Outside of his clinical work, Neal is passionate about learning languages and playing guitar. He finds joy in discovering new ways to communicate and connect with others, especially in a multicultural city like Vancouver. Music, for him, is another form of expression that reflects rhythm, balance, and flow—just like the body. These personal passions reflect a broader vision of health that goes beyond the physical: health as harmony between body, mind, and lifestyle. Choosing to settle and practice in Vancouver was no coincidence. The city’s vibrant energy, cultural diversity, and breathtaking nature make it an ideal environment for holistic health. With its forests, lakes, ocean, and nearby mountains, Vancouver naturally supports an active, balanced, and conscious way of living. Neal is proud to serve this dynamic community and to meet people from all walks of life who share a common goal: living better, moving better, and feeling better. At Neal’s clinic, each patient is welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail. Whether you’re experiencing pain, tension, injury, or fatigue—or whether you simply want to support your general health—you will receive personalized care based on your unique needs and goals. Sessions are calm, respectful, and focused on long-term well-being—not just quick relief. Osteopathy is not about fixing you. It’s about helping your body reconnect to its own healing capacity, and giving it the space and support to do what it already knows how to do. Neal sees himself as a partner in your journey, someone who listens, understands, and guides—never imposes. With a strong foundation in science, a sensitive and skilled touch, and a genuine passion for helping others, he is here to walk with you toward better health. If you’re in Vancouver and curious about how osteopathy can help, don’t hesitate to reach out. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing stress, improving posture, or simply seeking more balance in your daily life, Neal is here to support you—one session at a time.

    I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Jugurtha! He accommodated me for a last-minute appointment and showed genuine care for my needs. His professionalism and expertise made me feel confident in his advice. He also thoughtfully crafted … More a detailed letter to my other doctor, outlining my concerns. I truly appreciate his support and highly recommend him!

    I visited the clinic for recurring back pain, and after just one session, I felt a significant improvement. Jugurtha took the time to fully understand my needs and explained each step of the treatment clearly. His approach was both gentle … More and effective. I also appreciated the practical advice given to help prevent future issues. I highly recommend this clinic for their professionalism and attentive care!

    Jugurtha is incredible. Just incredible. I had so much pain in my shoulder from some tight muscles and doing the wrong move in the gym. He showed up same day on a Sunday, in my home, was polite, clean, gentle, and so experienced. Explaining … More the root of the problem, and what to do after the treatment, and it was the best combination of physio, massage and a dash of chiro. I feel 1000% better, and right away! I highly highly recommend and have suggested this to my family and friends.

    Jugurtha is one of the best healing practitioners I've ever worked with. Having never tried osteopathy before, I really did not know what to expect, however I had tried chiro, physio and even craniosacral therapy and was still not … More fully recovered from my injury. After 1 session with Jugurtha, I noticed improvement on my conditions EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was shocked and so relieved to finally be reducing the chronic pain I'd been living with for months.
    Jugurtha is very holistic in his approach, from my toes up to my neck, he made all the adjustments necessary to facilitate healing throughout my body. After the second session as well as following his advice on stretches, supplements and adjustments to my routines, I am almost completely rehabilitated. We are seeing how the next week goes and decide if I need to come back for 1 more session. With physio, I was told I would need 6-8 sessions to recover. The price is higher for osteo than physio but with results in half the time, you're saving money and time for yourself in the long run.
    Honestly do not hesitate to book with Jugurtha, he is very kind and caring and enjoys connecting with his clients. He is just starting his business in Vancouver, but has so many years of experience from working in Montreal and France. I hope this review helps him get enough clients and referrals to stay here!

After just 3 sessions, I don't have … More any more pain. He’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and takes the time to understand your body’s needs. If you're dealing with sciatica or any other pain, I can’t recommend him enough!

Osteopathy: a profession that listens to the body

Osteopathy is a manual therapy based on manipulating the various structures of the human body. Its aim is to identify the causes of symptoms in order to bring the body back into harmony so that it can function better.

Through precise palpation, the Osteopathic practitioner locates mechanical blockages in the skeleton, skull and internal organs. The body is considered to be an indivisible whole. Muscular and digestive disorders can therefore have repercussions on the whole organism.

The Osteopathic practitioner’s aim is not to treat the symptoms, but to determine the causes of your pain. Osteopaths are interested in your body’s history and any previous trauma that may have gone unnoticed.

Osteopaths play a fundamental role in preventing the risk of sports injuries and functional emergencies (sprains, lower back pain, sciatica). However, their field of action also extends to ENT problems, digestive disorders and psychological problems (depression, sleep, stress, etc.).
